“May this forge be bright and its flames strong” - Engraving upon the entrance to Rothmund’s Cradle
Overview
Rothmund’s Cradle is the massive forge that lies within Rothmund’s Hills, only accessible through Villefort, the capital of House Verfille’s holdings in the Crownlands. It is said to have been carved out of the mountain by Sir Rothmund himself and is the only place that Sol Steel can be refined.
The Cradle is of vital importance to House Verfille, both politically and culturally. The only way to enter the Cradle is with its key which is currently held by Count Esclamonde.
