# Overview The Seven Orders refer to the orders that serve each of the [[Houses of Séllur]]. These knights often rise through the ranks after proving themselves as both Squires and then Retainers. It is customary for knights of the Seven Orders to hail from the lands of the House they serve but it is not necessary. Truly exemplary heroes have been known to be knighted straight away but this is rare. Being a knight of the Seven Orders makes one a [[Notables|Notable]] in Séllurian Society. This comes with the expectation that they be learned, well mannered, and conduct themselves with honor. Knights that prove themselves beyond the normal caliber of their order are invited to the illustrious [[Fleurier Order]], the ultimate goal of any knight. # The Refracted Order: Knights of The Refracted Order swear their oath to House [[Jacquemond]]. The Refracted Knights are recruited from across the [[Crownlands]], meaning that they share many specialties with the Flamewreathed, Hillborn, and Silver Leaves. The Refracted Order is the most well respected of the Seven Orders due to them serving House Jacquemond directly. They wear golden armor inlaid with gems that glitter in the sun. They can be identified by their similarly gold capes with the sun of House Jacquemond stitched across them. # The Great Harvest Order: Knights of The Great Harvest Order swear their oaths to House [[Midinet]]. Knights of the Great Harvest are known for their expert equestrianism, being proficient with lances and spears. Knights of the Great Harvest are also expected to be proficient with restoration magic, making them essential to Séllur's plague resistance. They are also expected to tend to [[The Blanket]] during the harvest season. They wear heavy red steel armor with lion iconography across it. They can be identified by their red capes with the lion of House Midinet stitched across them. # The East Wind's Order: Knights of The East Wind's Order swear their oaths to House [[Coucher]]. Knights of the East Wind are known for their proficiency with pole arms of all kinds. They blend their usage of spears and halberds with staves, incorporating a magical core to their forces. They wear enchanted obsidian armor and can be identified by their indigo capes with the raven of House Coucher stiched across them. # The Order of Prism Scales Knights of The Order of Prism Scales swear their oaths to House [[Leverge]]. The Prism Scales are the most versatile of all Seven Orders. They are all competent sailors who often accompany members of House Leverge on maritime business. They wear shining rose gold armor that reflects beautiful colors, giving them their name. They can be identified by their rosé capes with the iridescent fish of House Leverge stitched across them. # The Flamewreathed Order Knights of The Flamewreathed Order swear their oaths to House [[Marleau]]. The Flamewreathed wear brass armor with scale-like patterns along with their dragon maks helmets. Their armor and weapons are forged in the [[Dragon's Maw]]. The metal seems to always be hot to the touch and radiates heat. The Flamewreathed are known for their fiery enchanted weaponry, fusing might and magic like few other orders do. They can be identified by their orange capes with the dragon of House Marleau stitched across them. # The Hillborn Order: Knights of The Hillborn Order swear their oaths to House [[Verfille]]. The Hillborn have a reputation as the toughest and most uncultured of all Seven Orders. They wear heavy steel armor, plain except for various dents and scratches from their service. Their armor and weapons are forged in [[Rothmund's Cradle]]. They look down on those with untouched armor, seeing it as not battle tested. They can be identified by their green capes with the bear of House Verfille stitched across them. # The Order of Silver Leaves: Knights of The Order of Silver Leaves swear their oaths to House [[Lansois]]. The Silver Leaves are expected to be devout and not err in their spiritual obligations. They wear medium and light silver armor with floral filigree etched across it. The Silver Leaves are famed for their mobile forces and deadly archers. They are trained within the [[Silvermorn Forest]] which makes them adept at navigating and battling in woodlands. They can be identified by their white capes with the unicorn of House Lansois stitched across them.
