# Overview Sélluria is the name given to the Sun Goddess [[Lumeria]] in [[Séllur]]. She is the patron goddess of Séllur and gives the Kingdom its name as "Sélluria's Kingdom." Major cities and towns all have what is known as a Lux Spire where Sélluria and her court can be worshipped. # Tenets of Sélluria Worship ##### The Sun's Supremacy Light is what banishes the darkness. When the sun shines upon the believers, harm will not befall them. Worshippers of Sélluria shy away from darkness and its practices. This includes necromantic magic and falling into the [[Séllurian Pantheon|Moonlit Gods]] temptations. Sélluria blesses the children born under her rays and many Lux Spires have rooms dedicated to child birth where they help children be born at the optimal time of day to properly take in Sélluria's rays. Most Houses have special towers in their palaces where they get as close as possible to Sélluria. With the [[Soleil]] and [[Josette Jacquemond I|Josette]] being rendered inactive, these services are more important than ever. ##### Love and Care Sélluria has love for everyone without discrimination. The sun's rays enrich everyone and offers them warmth, feeds the crops, and protects from the creatures of darkness. It is believed that Séllur's devotion to her is what allows the Soleil so much power and what brings Séllur so much prosperity. ##### Eternal War with Lunéria Sélluria's worshippers believe that the world will end when Sélluria's throne is usurped by the moon goddess Lunéria. Sélluria's faithful believe there is an endless struggle for power in Sélluria's divine kingdom and that, as all things inevitably do, her reign will come to an end. The only thing that prevents Lunéria's successful usurpation is the constant prayers and worship to Sélluria. This is why eclipses and blood moons bring such evil creatures to Vallaera. They are Lunéria's army that hopes to destroy faith in Sélluria and weaken her worshippers while Lunéria makes her bid for the throne. If they falter in their devotion, her kingdom will fall and Vallaera along with it. ##### Afterlife Sélluria's worshippers believe that if they prove themselves worthy in their lives that they will join Sélluria's great court after their death. They believe that each star in the sky is one of her faithful that has passed on. These stars work to brighten the night and aid Sélluria in her defense against Lunéria. Funerals and other mortuary rites are often done at dusk when the stars begin to be visible in hopes that they can see the newest addition to Sélluria's twinkling army.
