# Overview The Petaled Revolution was the revolt started by [[Jacque]], [[Séllur]]'s great founder, against the [[Thescryan Empire]] and [[The Hierarch]]. The revolution is one of the most important events in [[Séllurian History]] and is honored every year at [[Séllurian Species & Culture|The Festival of Petals]]. The Revolution began in 370 after Jacque assembled the [[Blooming Blades]] to begin the fight against The Hierarch. The legendary heroes fought The Hierarch to a standstill which was only broken when Archmage Quincy Gainier used old Thescryan Magic and the power of [[Sélluria]] to create the [[Soleil]]. With the power of the Soleil, the Blooming Blades destroyed The Hierarch and defeated the Thescryan Empire in 384.
