> *"Steel Breaks, Faith Endures"* # General The House that leads religious ceremonies and perform the most important rites for Séllurian society. They rule the [[Silvermorn Forest]], one of the most magical environments in [[Séllur]]. House Lansois is unique from the other houses due to its religious focus. They have the least knights in their [[Seven Orders|Knightly Order]] so they try not to resort to violence. To fulfill their duty as spiritual leaders across Séllur, members of House Lansois are expected to dedicate themselves to the study of a particular god or set of gods. This does not mean they only worship that god, rather that they become a master of that god's lore and teachings. To determine which god they will dedicate themselves to they must go through a bizarre ceremony that only members of House Lansois are privy to. Members of House Lansois can be identified from their clerical style of dress, darker skin, the smell of incense, and their calm demeanor. They are largely [[Séllurian Species & Culture|Lurrish Human]] although a sizeable amount are half-elven and even of distant eladrin or fey descent. They fly a silver banner with a white unicorn's head upon it. # Notable Members **Count Mercurio Lansois IV** *For more information see [[Mercurio Lansois IV]] **Councillor Eden Lansois** *For more information see [[Primrose Council]]* - Eden Lansois, the younger sister of Count Mercurio, is House Lansois' representative on the Primrose Council. She is very respected across Séllur and was known to have a close relationship with both Mercurio and the queen. **Sir Wisdom T. Lansois** *For more information see [[Fleurier Order]] - Sir Wisdom T. Lansois is a distant relative to Count Mercurio with his direct family being largely unlanded. Wisdom T. has risen to prominence as a member of the Fleurier Order being hand picked by Henri himself. **Count Zel "the Forgotten" Lansois** - Count Zel is a young count of Caledon, having only recently come into his position. He was not of age when his parents died meaning that the title passed to a regency council from which Count Mercurio only recently disbanded.
