The Rumbling was the near-cataclysmic culmination of The [[Infernal Order]]'s centuries of scheming in 942 BC. Wielding [[Ascarberis]], the Order attempted to wake the ancient dragons that slept under the surface of [[Anatha]]. This led to many dragons, including the mythic [[Azh'Tharoth]], to awaken from their sleep. The Infernal Order used Ascarberis to bend the dragons to their will, creating the most powerful army in all of Anatha. However, Azh'Tharoth was too powerful to be controlled, and he organized a group of adventurers to reclaim the artifact from the Order. This group of adventurers, who would go on to be the [[Bastion of Anatha]], managed to vanquish several powerful dragons and defeat the Infernal Order and reclaim Ascarberis. They gave the artifact to Azh'Tharoth and the ancient dragons, now free, spread across Anatha and found new lives for themselves. This led Anatha to be the cultural epicenter for dragons, a legacy that still holds true 1500 years later.
